Turner Field, Red Sox vs Braves
On my way across the South, I had scheduled an
overnight stop in Atlanta on June 15, 2001. Finding that the Braves were in
town, I bought a ticket for the game. Turned out that it was Red Sox - Braves,
Pedro against Maddux. Pedro missed the start, but I had an amazing seat to watch
a master in action. True to the warnings of the meteorologist who was on the
jumbotron early in the game, it was interrupted by a big thunderstorm in the 7th
inning. Turner Field is a nice park, but the main exit was several inches deep
in rainwater when I left, funneled in from the streets outside. Rotten design,
guys...
